About Me

Hi, I am Anabel, and I will be your photographer. I started Hillside Photography while pregnant with my second child, with the idea that professional photography should be accessible and reasonably priced to all families. This is not my full time job, so I don't make a living off it, but it is my fulltime passion. 

 

 I have been taking pictures for over 20 years and I absolutely love it. I grew up watching my step father (a professional photographer for a local newspaper) cleaning lenses, developing black and white photos in a dark room, and spending every family event taking hundreds of pictures. Boy did my cheeks hurt after smiling for so long!  I love editing pictures, and listening to your feedback to help provide an image that you will be proud to hang on your wall. 

 

That is why today my focus is on family portraits, life celebration events, and KIDS! All sizes, all ages, and bring as many as you got! I believe everyone deserves to capture the milestones of our families lives at a reasonable price. I mean, who has $600 to spend on a one hour photoshoot? So let’s get down on the ground and get some pictures of your little one crawling around. Bring your family and let your grand kids climb a tree as their Pawpaw attempts to keep up! Get your daughters all fancy and have a tea party, it all makes for some fun photos. I also love hiding as you FINALLY propose to that special person in your life.

Let the inspiration for your photo session come from things you are passionate about. So get those football jerseys out, invite your parents and siblings, and let’s plan some afternoon fun at your nearest park, favorite local spot, or Lions Lake! Let me be there to capture it all. I may even have my kids there to help out. After all, it is a family business!
